Inexpensive track links 4 Tamiya Tiger II?

The tracks that came with my two 1/35 scale King Tigers are too short. They are too tight without even trying to induce any realistic sag. What would be the least expensive individual track links set for a 1/35 scale TAMIYA King Tiger? Forget the metal ones. Thanks and cheers

    Aussie M1A1 Abrams

Use a bright flashlight held almost paralell to the floor to help find small parts. The beam being colse to the floor and nearly paralell to the floor makes the tiny part cast a much larger shadow than the part itself is. I've found many a tiny piece by using this method of locating them. Cheers

1/35 scale Takom Mk IV Male Tank - COMPLETED

I really like the way you weathered those spuds. Put them on some asphalt or fine-grain concrete and take an image of them and I bet people would think they were the real thing. A lot of time full fuel cans were carried on top of the tank too. I've read where tanks were lost because the fuel...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Coming down to the wire here. I got the base colours of the clothes onto the figures. Ignore the dog in this image. I'll be finishing these off in the next day or two and then adding them to the scene with the tank. Cheers

    F4U Corsair Design Features video

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Okay, I'm just about done with the tank now. I decided NOT to do much weathering because for the time being I'm going to have it on a base that simulates the inside of a building such as a museum. I'm using a city/park bench (perhaps two) from Mini Art and six assorted figures from Master Box...

    I'm going Japanese

Looks pretty good. Do you think it needs more pitting due to long term exposure to the elements and poor quality original Japanese paint? Cheers

    1/72 Scale RPM Mack Truck

It's really nice to see so many kits and figures being released that deal with The Great War aka WW1. I like your Mack truck there Maddog. Are you going to put it on a base of in a scene? Pretty hard sometimes to believe that this November 11 will mark 100 years since the 1918 armistice came...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Okay people. I fixed that gap in the lower track runs. First I cut off the half links on the tracks that were already in place. That was to create a space for the additional tracks to fit better. Here's the gap that needed filling. Here is an image of one of the extra short track lengths...

1/35 scale Takom Mk IV Male Tank I REALLY like the rust on the muffler and exhaust pipe. Cheers

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

I'll fill it in anyway with a section cut from the left over pieces. I really do wonder why both tracks were short by that amount thogh. Cheers

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Got the tracks on last night. Interestingly enough, the tracks are about ONE LINK too short. Fortunately there are a couple of short track lengths included in the kit. I'm going to cut what I need off of them to fill in the gap in the lower run of the tank. I've built both the Mk. IV...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Hi Skinny Mike. I mask mine with green painter's masking tape of even regular masking tape and then paint the ID stripes. Here's an image of my 1/35 scale Emhar Mk. IV Female and an image of my 1/35 scale Emhar Whippet both with hand brush painted ID stripes. Cheers

WW1 British Tank Images of Possible Interest

Hi there. I found some WW1 images of British tanks that I thought some others might be interested in too. Some of these are images of experimental tanks whilst others are of tanks being recovered. I hope you find these of use. Let's start. Here is a Mk. IV Supply tank. It'd be an easy...

    I'm going Japanese

When I want a hatch left just partly open I put something under it to keep it at the angle i want and I leave that something there until the cement has fully cured. Nice looking build so far. Cheers

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Some more progress on the painting of this model. I mixed up what I wanted to be the final body colour, applied it, weathered it a bit and then drybrushed the model to highlight the rivets and such other items. I need to paint the identity stripes on the forward sides and maybe the cab too. I...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Thanks. I just need to do that to the 6-pounder that's on the tank. I think I'll do it to the two 6-pounders that are on my previously built Emhar Mk.IV Male tank too. Cheers

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

I just figured out a way to add rifling to the muzzle of my 6-pounder cannon. I took a triangular sharp point metal Dremel cutting tool and pressed it into the muzzle of the cannon. Voila! Rifling at the muzzle. Sorry for the poor focus of the muzzle end but at least you can see the grooves...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

My grand father on my mother's side served with the Canadian army at Passchendale and also at Vimy Ridge amongst other battles he fought in and he was 6 feet plus. I can see figures scaling up to 5'6" or so but man 5'2 is just short. If I do use those vertical Tamiya 35339 figures I'll have to...
