All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Wear a really good respirator when working near that black mold at the bottom Moonpuppy . Black mold can do a really nasty job in the lungs if inhaled. Be very cautious around it. Cheers

    Olive drab colors?

HELP! Somewhere on this site I saw a thread or post that talked about the various shades of Olive Drab paint and it's not Bob Letterman's Weathering Olive Drab thread. Does anyone know where the thread that talks about the various shades of Olive Drab paint and has color images of them is...

    Merkava Mk. 4M Trophy (Meng)

I'd contact Meng and tell them your problems plus ask them for replacement links. You could work on other parts of the model whilst waiting for a reply and/or the replacement tracks. Unless you don't mind a gap in the track runs that gets hidden by the skirts. Cheers

Master Box General PAtton correct size?

Hi there. I have LOTS of additions to my stash and now I want to assemble a figure of General Georg Patton. Unfortunately the Tamiya General Patton figures is at least 6 scale inches too short ie. scales up to 5'7" instead of 6'1". I see that Master Box has a set of WW2 Generals. However from...

    Tamiya stuck in the 1970's?

Oh I'm the bench alright. Got a couple of Tiger 1 tanks kits on the go as well as a Tiger II some Japanese armour and some Sherman tanks. Tamiya stuck in the 1970's?

That's why I added the VBEG, the LOL and the ASCII Smiley. Yes, a lot of men ere shorter than the average of 5'8" during WW2. However it still means that Tamiya doesn't do many figures above that height of 5'2" - 5'4" in Allied troops. Ah well, now there is Dragon, ICM, Master Box, and MiniArt...

    Tamiya stuck in the 1970's?

Oh I realize that there were a ot height challenged people in the military. LOL It just makes it very hard to use Tamiya figures in order to give a sense of scale when the figures scale up to well below average height of 5'8" or so. I used to use some 1/32 scale figures to represent tall troops...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions The instructions are still a lot better than some that basically give you an image of the completed model or prototype and then basically say, "It should look like this when done. Good luck getting it together." Cheers
