    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions I remember when we had to mix colours to get many of the colours wanted such as tire rubber. Same thing with weathering. Now there is a plethora of colours and paint manufacturers to choose from. Good luck with the hoses. Cheers

    Takom M3 Grant

I like it a LOT. I have the Academy and the ancient Tamiya Grant and Lee but I think I moght get one of these Grant kits from Takom. What's nice too is that a few companies now have styrene tank crews that can be used with the Grant and other crews that can be used with the Lee. Cheers

M3 LATE PRODUCTION(1ST ARMORED DIVISION TUNISIA)

M3 LATE PRODUCTION(1ST ARMORED DIVISION TUNISA) Looking really good there. It'd be really nice if Tamiya would put those tracks in their older M-3 Stuart, M-5 and M-8 kits. I'm watching this build with a lot of interest. Cheers

A concept I am considering for a diorama - sort of

How about irregular shaped bases that can be interlocked like a jigsaw puzzle? Each individual base is an independent vignette yet when joined together they make up a whole. Don't forget that artistic license will allow you to have the figures closer together than they'd be in real life. Cheers

    Curious re. thread notifications

Thanks. I know there are no replies going to my Spam box. I also know that I was subscribed to threads such as Latest Acquisitions, and also, What's On The Bench or this thread either. Notifications from these and others just suddenly stopped. I have no idea what happened. Cheers

    Iraqi War diorama...

Looking really good there. I've taken friends to an armour museum and those friends are always amazed at jusy how little room there is inside a vehicle when the crew is in place let alone any extra gear. Cheers

    Curious re. thread notifications

Just curious here. Has anyone suddenly stopped getting notifications on topics they used to get notifications of replies to? This suddenly happened to me a few days ago and I have no idea why. Just wondering if it's just me experiencing this. Thanks and cheers

    Tamiya M3 Stuart (late production)

Looked at some really closeup images of the tracks on this kit and see that indeed Tamiya finally did correct the track connectors positioning. Only took them about 44 years to do that. LOL Thanks and cheers

    What scale is it? Cheers

    Tamiya M3 Stuart (late production)

Looks like Tamiya still didn't correct the tracks. Or else my eyes are deceiving me. It doesn't look like the track connectors would actually connect track links in the real world. Is that true of this kit? Thanks and cheers.

M3 LATE PRODUCTION(1ST ARMORED DIVISION TUNISIA)

M3 LATE PRODUCTION(1ST ARMORED DIVISION TUNISA) Terry. Is that a new tooling? Did Tamiya FINALLY correct the tracks from the original M3 releases? That is are the track connectors actually positioned connecting the track links? Cheers

MkII Scout Car (Dingo) in Libya 1942 COMPLETED

Hi James. I always enjoy looking at your works. The step by step you usually post are a great help as well as being quite inspiring. One other thing about some of those old Tamiya kits in comparison with new kits are their prices with those old kits being quite inexpensive. An example of that...

Old Tamiya Universal Carrier MK II

Looking very nice there James. I always like watching your builds progress. When I warned about the tracks breaking after the build was finished I should have mentioned that mine broke in areas away from the joint. I think my tracks were simply too short; I was able to get them on okay but...

    1970's Tamiya Kubelwagen kit

A nicely built and painted oldie but goodie. What I liked about Tamiya kits back in the 1970's early 1980's was that most of them came with at least one figure even if it was Japanese size in scale stature. At least you got a driver figure with the Kubelwagen. Cheers
