    1/48 Tiger B, Ardennes 1944

Hello everybody, after I found this fully assembled and primed Kintiger in my stash, I decided to fool around with it, just for fun. The camo was painted by brush, which is still a very handy technique when it come to hard edge camos. I am still working on it as we speak, but it should be...

    Show/Contest written material

It is not common practice on European shows. People can add something in print to the model if they want, to show their efforts clearer, but I hardly take that into account when I am judging. But there are some categories where it does make sense indeed, for example the scratchbuild category...

    Strachwitz's Panzerbefehlswagen III Ausf. K

Great choice of subject Laura ! I just love those oddballs. You don't see such a model too often I guess. Great work with the brass also. Those fenders can be a pita at times. Have fun painting it ! Sven

But I lost interest lately and thus beeing not too enthusiastic about it Then the new Tamiya Jagdtiger, which had to be finished in a very...

Siegfried & Roy I have two new modelling buddies. Actually I was supposed to babysit these two guys, but think I won't give them back, as they are funny company indeed. Painting and weathering a white washed AFV

Hello Laura Well, Plaka-Paint has a slower drying time than normal acrylics, so you can rework and blend the effect with water over a long period of time! Sven

Diorama Clervaux - the actual look

Hello Claude Having seen most of your elements in the flesh, I ran out of superlatives long time ago. Also the book is highly recommended not only to Diorama builders. Great to have you here also, but I am a bit dissapointed that you did not post the picture of you wearing your stylish...

    Panzergrey anybody

Bob, a "dot filter" (with many tiny dots of various oil clours) will not be entirely blended, but will leave a subtle streaking, which can also be a weathering effect. The Filter we are discussing will subtly shift the tone of the base coat. Hope this helps Sven

    Panzergrey anybody

Rudi, Sin Industries provides certain Filters for certain base coats. BUT you can always mix your own Filter from various white spirits and oil/enamel paints. I always pick colours which are not too contrary to the base coat. For example a dark grey base coat looks good with a blueish filter...

    Panzergrey anybody

Re: Panzergrey anybody ? I started painting the exhausts with a mixture of redish acrylic paints from Vallejo. Next I applied a thick wash with oil paints and applied various pigments onto the still wet surface. The pealing paint effect was achieved with acylic paints again. I think I will...

    Panzergrey anybody

Charming German Panzerkampfwagen B2 740 (f) Sven Frisch Normally I spend most of my modeling time working on 1/48 armor models. But throughout the last year there weren’t too many appealing new kits, so I decided to open another kit 1/35 model I had in my stash. When working mostly with...
