Thanks Ian !!! Actually I did just that . I airbrushed an extremely thinned red/brown color as a base . Then brush stippled a red/brown [ unthinned ] , followed by a terra cotta color for the lighter colors around the dark red/brown . I'll go back and add some more terra cotta around the deeper...

Thanks Saul , that's in memory of the many junkers I've had as a teen , I couldn't find a pair of 1/35th scale vise grips which was the standard missing window knob fix so I had to settle for a pipe wrench . Which actually doesn't work cuz it strips the teeth on the window knob .

Aside from the luggage rack and surfboards , I'm done . Rhino , I'd love to lay everything out but I can't do it in the room I build in . Just not enough room . However I'm cleaning out a spare bedroom to set this up so I can take overall layout pics . Hopefully it'll be soon .

I had to add rhis to the Jersey Shore build , just had to . Upon first recieving and opening the kit I was very impressed and excited to build this , but as to where I am now in the build it has become a love/hate relationship . Engine fit and alignment to the chassis / poor . Axles , tie rods ...

Heavens Eagle , thanks man but I'm good . I actually had one of these back ib 72 . About 10 years ago , as a restoration project build with my son , we were looking for the rarer than hens teeth 23 window VW bus Never found one that fit my price range tho .

Pup , craft stores have a gel medium . Paint an acrylic color on your surface [ the base color you wat to show through the cracks ] wait till dry . On wood or porous surfaces , must have a coat thick enough so the top layers won't soak into the wood etc . Paint the gel medium on , [ healthy coat...

The roof and dormer gave me fits but it's done , now I just have to make the dormer for the other side and weather everything . Oh and the roofing material will be a rolled tar roof , commonly seen around here with beach stone pressed into the roof tar . A little bit of trivia , around here on...

While building the two boats and trailer , anytime I had down time for paint or glue drying I worked on the marina garage . This along with the boats and trailer will sit on a 2' by 2' foot base next to the 2' by 2' truckstop base .

I originally wanted to do a quick scratch trailer for the boat but I got involved and I like the trailer so much I'm gonna put the boats on blocks and have the trailer a stand alone thingie . I have floor - essent lights [ no way was I gonna try and spell that ] and they make all my browns...

Hopefully I'll get to paint this today . I've got some double diamond plate styrene sheets that I'll use to clad the fenders .
