My initial attempts at dolling up the cockpit and closing up the fuselage. I've been away from the bench too long, but I'm trying to slowly work my way back into the fray. I thought this would be a nice little kit to restart the juices flowing.

Just finished this up this morning. Not a bad little kit for $4.00. The decals were a royal pain, but I made them work.Painted with Bombshell Brew acrylics. I'm still new to acrylics, but I think I did ok for a first effort. Thanks for looking! Greg

Seeing that MM is phasing out their enamels and WEM is hard to come by here in the states. I won’t even discuss Humbrol. I’m going to start the move into acrylics. What brand would be the easiest for me to start with? I know you guys have your favorites, but on the whole I want to not have to go...

I won't go into the uglyness of this build. It did go into the trash can a couple of times only to find me digging it back out. Just finished it up yesterday.

An Old Friend...1/48 Revell P-40B Construction Coming along very nicely. If it any use to you I use MEK for almost all my builds. I got tired of paying for Tamiya and Testors liquids. The basic solvent in them is MEK anyway. I paid 8 dollars for a quart years ago and it's still half full...

Looking good. To build just for fun can be a wonderful way to grab back some of that long lost youth.

You set the bar pretty high Bob. That sets the gold standard by which all P-47 models can be judged. All the above was horse poo :yipee Seriously excellent build and finish. I wish I could my stuff to look half as good. I bow to skills.
