Right, one more small update... My original intention to have the actual model done by the end of July is out the window. I spent a lot more time on the davits than originally estimated, and they are still not in positions yet. Part of the exercise was scratching the missing life boats. Back...

Right, time for a small update ... Plane is dry fitted, everything else is locked in. Turret A (Anton) is dry fitted - still needs some painting and weathering. The smoke stack - instructions - all PE is from the aftermarket kit. Just to show what sort of madness this is. Platform...

Apart from the mastery on display with these models, the tools, the techniques and so on (taught me so many great things and still learning), I really enjoy reading the extra info, stuff like this was sculpted by such and such who also wrote a gazillion books and created other things before...

A while back I was avoiding the PE as much as I could. Then, practice, practice and more practice, I got used to some of it. I still swear a lot when doing it.

I would have thought that they get some form of feedback. Fully appreciate them producing the kits, maybe I am just used to whinging a bit too much.

Minor update. Working on the big turrets - 15" guns. 4 pieces of massive turrets, two guns per turret. Slight differences in terms of hand rails. Turret A - Anton was the only one without a range finder. Working with PE is not my idea of fun, but in the end it's worth it - having said that...

Nothing to worry about Mike, thanks for trying to help. An update - more stuff going in on the main deck. Anchors, chains, missing PE bits and the first level of the superstructure. Some PE parts are not painted prior. Easier to do so when in place, at least that's how I find it. Some pieces...
