Gee Saúl, I thought I was bad about getting all kinds of aftermarket for my kits.

On the figures I have done it the past I spent a lot of time getting the sculpt cleaned up first as if the sculpt is good the paint work makes it even better.

With American aircraft, I don't think the paint chipped so much as wore off. The P-38 in the Udvar Hazy museum the paint was faded and very worn. There was Olive Drab, Rd Primer, and aluminum with thin layers of paint around it. The only plane I remember having chipped paint was the P-61 Black...

All the WinNut kits are injection molded. I suspect that at some point we might see some repops from some other manufacturer, so they are just off in limbo, but now way to know for how long. Also at that point there will be no guarantee on the quality of instructions or decals.

I can honestly say that the motor has some major issues in the kit. (Yeah it was bad enough I remember it 40 years later) I can say that a micro lathe and a small mill would make a real positive difference in building one of these. Those that use these kits as a starting basis have done some...
