Artwork I have been working on

Here is one I just finished as a commission. Bummer part is that I have already been paid LOL. Still, I am pretty pleased with it. It is mixed media; graphite, Conte, ink, and white "charcole"(pastel] on 90# hotpress cotton watercolor paper.

    3D Print services needed…

As long as it fits on my print bed I can give it a go. I have some really good resin on the way. PM if you want to.

    Shanna, The Jungle Queen

She is as fixed as I can probably make her. I am super pleased with her skin tones. She is still cracked in several places but mostly camouflaged with paint. I redid the bikini as a blond python. A snake tried to bite her so she is wearing him as a belt. The claws from the panther she fought...

    Tamiya Grumman F-14D Tomcat

Progress report! I have the decals on, and this definitely was my easiest decal session I have had. Maybe I am getting better at it! Leaving the plane in pieces DEFINITELY made it easier. After the decals came time for the landing gear. The front was mostly done as far as wiring goes so it was...

    Shanna, The Jungle Queen

Thanks guys. I had a fellow figure model come over and look at her with me to see if she can be fixed. He made it sound easy, so I have worked on her and have her "mostly" fixed. The toes are covered with leaves. Not much I could do about those. The hair strand was recreated with epoxy putty...

    Shanna, The Jungle Queen

She is glued back together and the tree fixed as well as it can be. The toes on her right foot are still missing and the lock of hair that went across her forehead. You might can see the crack that goes from shoulder to shoulder.

    Shanna, The Jungle Queen

Well, I dropped her and she broke all to pieces. My heart sank like a stone!!! Her body cracked in half and her head flew off. The spear broke into three pieces, and her toes are nowhere to be found. Same with the strand of hair front and center. I am gluing her back together as well as I can...

    Shanna, The Jungle Queen

Ooo, she could even have that hand on the branch like she's moving it! That's the ticket!

    Shanna, The Jungle Queen

I am starting to make a bit of a mess so I will let her dry a while. The gator skin bikini wasn't cutting it so she has a ...python? bikini? She has a venemous snake belt of some sort. The knife I am unsure about. Where would she get one alone in the jungle? If she made it, what would the sheath...

I had not planned on them being seen, as if the tree canopy is above her. It is possible I can add them to the base.

Question: do the leaf shadows work or not?

The airbrush has all been covered now. I use it for a base to see where my lights and darks should go, but it is uaually obliterated when I am done with the oil painting part. People ask me why I do it if I am just going to cover it completely. I just do. 😁

    Shanna, The Jungle Queen

I have been working above the belt tonight and spent a LOT of time on the face and hair. I began by putting a light coat of retouch varnish where I was painting to help with blending. I am hoping to add some "richness" to the flesh tones, but I really am not sure how to do that or even what it...

    Tamiya Grumman F-14D Tomcat

She was blued last night and future'd this morning. I had the tail stabilzers on just to see if they matched and dropped the stupid plane, which, thankfully, only resulted in breaking off the pin on one stabilizer. Easy fix TG! The tail fins are held in place with sticky putty to make sure THEY...

Just a little Big Bang Theory "Sheldon" humor. It was dripping.

    Tamiya Grumman F-14D Tomcat

The wing sweeps are defeating me. I should be able to match any look! I may hang with it later but right now I am moving on. I worked on the canvas covers. I used Vallejo Model Colors 70951 White, 875 Beige Brown, 811 Blue Violet, 894 Cam Olive Green, plus Liquitex Raw Umber ink. The...
