The Duke Finishes Two Aircraft in September

Man, you've been busy! These are two airplanes I may have passed over on the isle but would have been sorry for it after seeing yours. What cool looking airplanes!! I like the Canadian one a lot, and the story about the plane looking for the fleet after Pearl gets to my heart. I would build...

The Duke's Shipyards Launches Four in October

They are all fabulous, but the Sunseeker is glorious! What a beautiful boat.

    3D Printing and Blender files

Ok, for @Rhino 's personal viewing pleasure, I am attempting to make the AMC 345cc V8 engine. So far so good. I don't have the intake manifold done or the carb, but what I have I am relatively pleased with. The block, really, is a series of guesses, since I can't find definitive images and...

    AMT 1941 Plymouth Coupe 1/24

This is another one for my friend Bob, who can no longer build for himself due to hand tremors. I build them for free for him, but he forgot the "if you buy them from me" part of the deal. I am ashamed to say I let that influence how far I went on the build. I normally open doors and trunk and...

Reference photos for AMC 304 engine

It could work And yeah, vector files would be ideal!

Reference photos for AMC 304 engine

In my search I found that the 345 was definitely low speed high torque unstoppable monsters getting 8mpg if you were lucky. We didn’t care about mpg in those days because gas was 50 cents or less. Creating the engine has been a whole different ballgame than the bitty parts. It is possible it is...

Reference photos for AMC 304 engine

I probably should. The 304 seemed to be the one that most opted for for some reason.

    1/48 Tamiya F-4B

Not sure how the other guy could build better than that. This looks fantastic. So clean! Dunno how y'all do that LOL.

    3D Printing and Blender files

I have another part created. The fan from the Scout kit is really thick, so I thought I'd give making a new fan a go. I haven't printed it yet... It is made in blender. The final result is not as smooth as I'd like, but at a microscopic level print it should look OK.

Reference photos for AMC 304 engine

Fellers, I am still working on printing parts for my International Scout model. I have made a BUNCH of parts. I got the kit out and was looking at the kit engine and though, "Man, that thing sucks". So, I thought I would try to make my own engine with 3D software (Blender). I need reference...

    MH Design

I am 110% sure Paddy could do it. I've never seen a better builder really. It's a piece of cake...maybe, like, a red velvet cake which is really hard to make...but a piece of cake none-the-less.

I did that on the 1/32 F-16 Israeli jet. It made things infinitely easier for me.

    Tamiya 1/48 F-35C Coming Soon

MSRP is $88 so that doesn't sound overly high. $70 is a great retail price.

    Tamiya Grumman F-14D Tomcat

So, for the panel lines I did something different because in the photos none of the panel lines are all one color or the same color or the same amount of color. I used Val wash dark gray, light gray, oiled earth, and brown, along with Val textures Petrol Spill. With a TINY brush I added color...

    Tamiya Grumman F-14D Tomcat

Finally finished! I have been busy with commissions and life that I have not been on much. Sorry 'bout that! I finished my dual engine group build. It was a doozy! I over "faded" the decals. I didn't want them to look new so I misted grey over them. I misted too much. I do like the more subtle...
