    Ferrari 312T FINISHED

So..off we go then. I have to say for the first time in ages i am really looking forward to this build. :) Looking in the box things look very promising for a 50 year old kit. I tend to think with tamiya that a 1970s kit is on a par with your average 1990s kit from most other makers. This one...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

My after market demons strike again ;-) Indydecals have just congratulated me on my purchase........and now they tell me they dont actually cut the carrier film so you have to cut the decals out....just look at those pin stripes ? anyone fancy cutting them out ?.bugger , another £20 up the...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Today i unpacked Tamiya's 1/12 Ferrari 312T A pretty daunting kit in the part count Before i go too far I need a plan :) What do i want to achieve. F1 cars by their nature of streamlining have very little external detail. Of course they dont have a Hood you can lift to see the engine, you...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

All these old guys, Sir Jackie and Sterling Moss., Emerson Fittipaldi, and Mario Andretti and dozens more all get together with their cars once a year down the road from me at Goodwood House " Festival of speed". I have never been to the event, its pretty exclusive and tickets would be hard to...

I think the important thing when detailing any F1 car is tyre pressure. I prefer to use nitrogen over just air. :)

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

I cant imagine that decals on flexible rubber tyres is even a starter :-) so i had already picked these up for the Meng Maclaren but they may also work with the Ferrari if the wheels are near the same size

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Thanks Saul, Hiroboy are famous for having nothing in stock...and guess what :-) There is a company in Belgium who do F1 models called BestBalsaKits but even their PE is £35.00 https://www.bestbalsakits.com/tamiya/tamiya-detail.asp?kitnumber=2980 Best bet over here is usually Spot model in...

    Hobby 2000 BF-109 E4 1/32 FINISHED

It must be bad, they are reporting it on the news over here already. I think i would batten down the hatches and head out north at about 150mph .but thats easy for me to say , its gotta be different if you are leaving your whole life behind. Stay safe mate .

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

This is a real blast from the past...about 1975 i think, ordered it cheap off ebay but i expect the decals will be useless and its pre the PE edition so may not be that cheap in the long run I was going to start the Meng Maclaren but then i thought, it was quite expensive so maybe i need to...

    Hobby 2000 BF-109 E4 1/32 FINISHED

Ta Daaaa... this will look good next to my FW-190 i made last month (or the month before) :) I think i have said all i can about this during the build The first picture shows all the cowlings on. They do fit well but the top cowling needs a small amount of downward pressure to sit in place the...

I won't say a word to her about this anymore!

I'm not sure your wife needs all that space ? top shelf doesnt look that well stacked. Anyway her entire wardrobe is larger than my flat..... I had to throw out a new box of cornflakes just to get my Meng Maclaren 1/12 in the door. Fortunately they were almost the same size.

    Hobby 2000 BF-109 E4 1/32 FINISHED

This is what i found on "large scale planes" Hobby 2000 is a Polish distributor of model kits and related products from several different brands, in this regard they are the biggest game in town here. Being a distributor of Hasegawa, in 2018 they decided to give a try to the idea of reboxing...
