Hello MA 'ers,
I recently purchased this fine model from the net and was very impressed with the quality from a company that I had never heard of before, so I thought that a review was called for to promote this fine piece of resin.
Obviously the subject is slightly obscure but that was all the more reason to get this one as I do not know of another company who does this plane in 1/32. The HE 51 B2 was a Luftwaffe anti-shipping recon plane that was a development of the He 49 and put into production in May 1933. This pre-WW2 plane was first used during the Spanish Civil War and was already obsolete by WW2.
This kit is made of resin but looks and feels like a plastic injection kit. There is a small amount of flash but the pieces are very well formed and show very crisp detail.
The kit is delivered in a small box with the each of the sub assemblies in bags wrapped in bubble protection.
------------------------------------
The wing struts are supported with inner metal which is a nice touch and the kit is delivered pretty well cleaned -up already with half's taped together.
Simple clear instructions and some nice simple instrument detail on clear sheet.
A little expensive at $109.95 before shipping but it's the only show in town for this subject and I could honestly say that it is resin's answer to Wingnut Wings.
Looks and feels great - recommended.
