Reality in Scale has some excellent products for dioramas or to display on ones models. I remember hos the Hudson and Allen woven carpets had me in awe many years ago. Following this example, Reality in Scale (RiS) has released this set of table cloths (four table cloths and one runner) printed on cotton.

It is neatly packed inside a ©Ziploc bag with a paper insert which has the instructions for use. The sheet of cotton measures 115mm x 135mm (4.5 inch x 5.3 inch)) with a paper backing.
To use, cut the design you want free. I used a curved scalpel blade unsuccessfully. It slipped and frayed the edges as some fibers were only crushed and not cut. Pulling the cloth free caused the frayed edges. I fixed it by using a sharp pair of scissors. I was very successful cutting the second cloth free by using the said scissors.
The designs are muted and boring but this is the style of the era. After removing the paper backing, the cloth was still stiff. One should note that the product is printed on one side only so care should be exercised when placing so as not to show the bare interior surface. One sheet has a very light design so the issue is moot on that one.
Wetting the cloth, in preparation of use on a scratch-built table, was done by soaking. the colors did not fade or bleed but the edges were more susceptible to fraying from handling.
Placing on the table allowed me to add some folds and shape it. I used a brush with diluted cellulose (white) glue to ensure the cloth kept its shape when dry.
It is a very nice product but care needs to be exercised as the threads, while fine, are quite large for the scale so edge clean up is mandatory during preparation and after it is set up. The cellulose glue solution made the clean up of the frayed threads much easier.
