The castor oil isn't from the valve train, Chris. It is slung out of the exhaust ports on the cylinders. That's why you never see a rotary without a cowling, it's the only thing redirecting the mess downward.

What a project! Lovely work, well researched obviously. I actually saw a tri-phibian Albatross once, somewhat derelict at a Central California airport, perhaps Visalia.

Thanks for the comments and interest, troops! Fuselage is together with only some small gaps aft of the radiator outlet. Hopefully I am over the hump on this one now.

I was really disappointed in how this one was turning out. I could deal with the gaps on the fuselage seams and the wing fit, but there is no way to disguise the fit of the windscreen which only fits if the fuselage is closed up properly in that area. I bought this kit when it was first...
