    IDF Pereh ATGM tank destroyer

So I still have bit of fender repair to get thru, but this is where we current sit. I mounted the turret’s missing smoke launcher, and then press fit the launcher box, fake main gun, and turret for some pics. Plan is to build it as shown in the ready to launch configuration. So tomorrow I go...

    IDF Pereh ATGM tank destroyer

So the next issue for me were the road wheels. The drive sprocket and return roller had alignment guides but the road wheels were without a center mark of any type. Their axles had flat squares, so an easy mount, just nothing to center it. My remedy was to mark/drill the wheels, then cut up some...

    IDF Pereh ATGM tank destroyer

So it’s really just a matter of cutting a bit of plastic sheet/card and gluing underneath to make a small support shelf, then fitting the parts. Heck it’s nearly like invisible!!

    IDF Pereh ATGM tank destroyer

OK so when I took a look at this…it’s not nearly as bad as you might think. Here’s what I did to fix: So the kit parts are a bit brittle. But that’s also a blessing because they break along a distinct fracture line

    IDF Pereh ATGM tank destroyer

Greg, IF you see-code to reprint, you can put it is the box with the L-33. If you don’t then I’ll figure it out Bob, I’m gonna try those clear tracks, but may get a set of invidial links. We’ll see

    Meng Merkava w/cope cage

So to do this, I built 65 individual links per side, then laboriously cur the pins out, then friction fit them, applied adhesive, shaped and installed them. Not easy. Not how the instructions call for, but I made it work The Hobbyboss Merkava Mk4 was much easier than this and Meng is downgraded...

It’s worth noting that the fender breakage is not the fault of the printer, but printed fenders are super-thin, hence their breakage. Also, here’s a link to Wikipedia to give an idea of what this odd thing was when in use: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pereh

    IDF Pereh ATGM tank destroyer

OK so the highly esteemed Greg Kimsey printed a 3D Pereh tank for me! This is one of three obscure Israeli armored vehicle designs I am very much looking forward to building. I need to do some fender work and locate/drill some wheel holes, but overall it’s looking good!

    Meng Merkava w/cope cage

OK so here is where it currently sits. I really should have backed off and bought fruils but I’m committed. They aren’t beef ext but they are useable. Bottom run only as she’ll have the side armor attached. I think I may take a stress break and move away from this one for a bit. Not Meng as I...
