So it’s getting a lot closer to being ready for paint! The kit was missing a bit of side armor, t there was a tad of damage so I had to employ styrene as can be seen in a few pics, but overall it’s not looking too bad!

So I still have bit of fender repair to get thru, but this is where we current sit. I mounted the turret’s missing smoke launcher, and then press fit the launcher box, fake main gun, and turret for some pics. Plan is to build it as shown in the ready to launch configuration. So tomorrow I go...

So the next issue for me were the road wheels. The drive sprocket and return roller had alignment guides but the road wheels were without a center mark of any type. Their axles had flat squares, so an easy mount, just nothing to center it. My remedy was to mark/drill the wheels, then cut up some...

So it’s really just a matter of cutting a bit of plastic sheet/card and gluing underneath to make a small support shelf, then fitting the parts. Heck it’s nearly like invisible!!

    Meng Merkava w/cope cage

So to do this, I built 65 individual links per side, then laboriously cur the pins out, then friction fit them, applied adhesive, shaped and installed them. Not easy. Not how the instructions call for, but I made it work The Hobbyboss Merkava Mk4 was much easier than this and Meng is downgraded...

It’s worth noting that the fender breakage is not the fault of the printer, but printed fenders are super-thin, hence their breakage. Also, here’s a link to Wikipedia to give an idea of what this odd thing was when in use: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pereh
