WIP: My very first AFV's modelling attempt.

Cheyenne, Ant, wiewiorka, Shawn,

What can I say, thanks so much! I've been travelling for work these days, I hope to work a lot this weekend and post something soon!

Really guys, you are great and you are motivating me a lot.

Ciao

Giovanni

Shawn, you are way too kind, and because of your kindness I've uploades few new pics, hoping you would like these.

I've now put the tracks on, start to dust the front and the left hand side of the tank.

Also I've paintd the sand bags and chipped the fuel/water cans.

Still a lot to do, but I'm progressing.

Hoping to finish it soon.

Please let me know what you think.

Tony lee, thanks so much I've admired your builds a lot so far, I'm planning on building a Sturmtiger as you did; talking of which, where are you about with it??

Please let me know what you think.

Ciao

Giovanni

I wouldn't change a thing on the model, I'd love to see it on a lighter back drop for some photos.

Great is the word that comes to mind...
I love what you have done with her so far.
(the tarp on the engine deck could be toned down just
a bit, looks a little too glossy) but other than that
it looks to be a worn, but well maintained vehicle
enjoying a day in Sunny Afrika. I love the new shots
I really like the grease stains on the front drive wheel.
Keep posting the pictures and I'll keep watching.
You've done a super job and I can't wait to see your next
project.
Shawn

Mike, Rubert, Shawn,

Thanks again, I've been working a lot this weekend on the tank and I'm not far from the finish line.

Have to paint few accessories, the ropes and the tow cable, add the antenna and recheck everything.

Please have a look at the new pics and the progress.

I've added the load on the back, still basecoat, for the fuel drum and the tarp (Shawn, was still raw lead sheet, not painted at all, that's why it seemed shine.) and not even basecoat for the basket with the 2 rifles and the italian flag.

I'v also added few spare track link on the front and top of the tank, which look why brighter and more rd than they real are in this pic.

Any comment, suggenstions is really appreciated.

Ciao

Giovanni

Boy that looks great Giovanni!
Some great tones in use here. I'd second the option of lightening some areas for sun exposure, and as for the sandbags, I'd maybe dry brush them in a lighter tan colour to bring out some further tones.
Great stuff
Brad

Giovanni,
Looks like you are on top of it.
Looks very realistic and lived in. (just like the real thing).
Like everyone else, I'm really liking it, keep posting those
pictures so we can follow along. looks great.
Shawn

I've finished the tanks finally, will post it to a new tread called finished tank, but please see attached a preview.
