Spray chrome

Never had a lot of luck with the chrome paint. I can get a good finish with Alclad but their chrome ( unlike the brass and copper) seems to revert back to Gloss black base after a week or so. Even after a week the surface will take finger prints if touched

Clear coats turn chrome into shiny silver,
Anyway i was watching a you tube thing on this topic and a guy was using a chrome spray can from Revell ?

It looks perfect... anyone tried it ? its bloody expensive for a small rattle can.

I haven't. A friend of mine uses a chrome finish that looks amazing. I will ask what it is and get back to you.

Ok, here is what my friend uses and also Adam from Myth Busters. I can confirm that it is excellent chrome paint and sprays in an airbrush without thinning.
Molotow Liquid Chrome Alcohol-Based Refill, 30ml Bottle, 1 Each https://a.co/d/5D03l0u

Finish with Alclad Aquagloss or AK Gauzy.

Molotow Chrome is awesome stuff. I have the 3 different sized pens and the refill. While I have not sprayed it yet it is very thin so should not need to be thinned more. I recommend getting one of the pens to do mirrors. Even if you do multiple lines it blends together. I think I did a thread on it a number of years back.
