SCRATCHBUILDING A 1/35 SCALE BA 27 ARMOURED CAR

alex once again the work is amazing..... i was reading back through the entire post its like a reference manual . Another primer you may like is Krylon it comes in white black grey and ruddy brown which is more of a oxide red. It dries quickly and is also sandable.
I have used it for years with great effect.....

Alex,

Just a really interesting and obviously tedious build!

This project will be one to be proud of! Keep going man!

painting
the model was given a black pre shadeing as guideline to the grey green colour. the model will not be painted in the usual 4bo colour but in the much earlier grey green.

heavily diluted tamiya xf56 acryllic was used as the first dark base, after which tamiya deck tan was gradualy added to the basic colour. this was done in four coats increasing the ammount of deck tan after each coat.

Hi Alex,

Again as a newcomer to this site I had the privilege of reading this thread all at once. Gawd, what an amazing build, my friend! :eek:hmy: I know very little about scratchbuilding, so when I see something like your Russian armoured car and it's building process, it seems to me a bit like withcraft...

Went there (through the net, of course) to have a look (everything is new to me) and was very, very impressed with what I saw. :eek:hmy: Although most of the pics were of figures (those guys LOVE them figures, eh?!?

), I also saw some great dioramas! If you were bronze, I can only imagine silver and gold...
