New Hobby Shop In Spartanburg, SC!!

First off Iron Mike ... Thanks for George ... I needed that ... :ro: :ro: :ro:

Now as for my guess looks like a Morris minor ... :captain with custom doors .. :woohoo:

My guess is a Customized Morris minor ... can't find that exact door treatment but the grill & front end is defiantly a Morris .... (y)

My guess on the car is 46-48 Ford that someone really customized :idonno

The other two guesses were warmer. :coolio

Well Packard had doors like that in 1941, but the hood is like a Hudson :bang head

This car started life as a 1941 Hudson convertible. Here's the lowdown if anyone is interested. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/50s-built-sport-custom.843654/

Allen was kind enough to show me a lot of his research material and spent a lot of time telling me the back story.

Scrap iron? Yeah, and models are just toys. :coolio

If you're in the area and have an interest in hotrods, you owe it to yourself to stop by Mason's. Oh yeah, they sell models too. :facepalm

:drinks

The grille also appears to have come from a Nash, thus lending the car a little Pininfarina styling.

I knew it!

But a Hudson? So it would stand to reason that someone with the skills could bash this out in scale.

A very interesting custom car . To those of you that remember George Barris it made me think of his incredible customs that he built in the 40 50's and 60's. Real craftmanship with metal bodies .

Not just bolt on items like the newer stuff .

Cheers, Christian B)
