Italeri Do 24T in 1/72

I'm leaning toward the Spanish SAR scheme.

The kit includes the markings for HD5-4, the one that was rebuilt by Dornier as the D0 24ATT.

I wonder if the raised frame around the canopy was an attempt to partially hide the over sized canopy ?
 
About eight years ago, I saw a couple of these (hulls only) at the fantastic Oberschlassheim museum between Munich & Ingolstadt. They were both ex-Spanish machines and were scheduled for full restoration. Dunno whatever became of them, and for some reason I didn't bother to photograph them...
