Hi All :Hiay

After my CA glue disaster which destroyed my MPM 1/72 scale D.XXI, I've got a PM from MA member Barney in which he kindly offered me to sent me his 1/48 scale Classic Airframes Fokker D.XXI "Dutch Defender" (y) Thanks Barney!! I was looking for that kit but couldn't find it, so Barney's PM couldn't have come at a better time!

Now knowing I've got a Dutch version comming my way I bought a Danish version which is easy to be build in a Dutch version, so with the decals in Barney's kit I could build 2 Dutch D.XXI's! I also bought 2 detail sets from SBS model for the 2 Fokkers :D

This weekend I started building the first of 2 Dutch Fokker D.XXI's, here some pics;

Hi Christian,

All the parts for the tubing are included in the kit, I replaced them by evergreen rod only to save me the cleaning up of the kit parts.

Not very much progress, was sick for a few days, but I did finish the engine and the cowling! Hope to do more work this weekend.

As I plan to build 3 Fokker D.XXI's, 2 Dutch and 1 Finnish, and build them simultaneously I'll post the progress of all of them here, only showing the differences between the three Fokker's.

So Mike...........Here is the story of the Three Little Fokker's :yipee

Today I started working on the tubular frame of the Finnish D.XXI, this is the Special Hobby kit but it's bassicaly the same as the Classic Airframes kit, but with the Finnish type wings. For this kit I also use the Kuivalainen PE set produced by Eduard

The frames of the 3 planes are bassically the same, with only some differences in the cockpit and dashboard.
