Master at Arms
Hi ,
Here is the intro to what I would like to capture,in a matter of speaking
The movie had such a huge impact with a lot of big stars and being that the Bronco models released the
humber armoured car with non other than the excellect resin sculptured Michael Caine figure I just had to
portray this sweet looking vehicle on a very nicely sculptured base.
Thanks Michael
The movie ,the inspiration .The idea based on the advance of the armoured division and coping with prisoners.
During the course of the building I hope you like the results.
The figure will be detailed with archer unit insignia and rank on the shoulders.
The interior painting is going to take up the majority of time .
This is the early stages
Stage 1 on the base
The boys in early stage as well
Progress base layout with figures
The interior is now in .Everything that was in the kit is now inside
Less the handle for the drivers visor .
Ross Allen has fixed me up with a couple of the new miniart figures with excellent detail.
The driver figure was what I was in need of and the figure was modified to fit in the seat.
The hands have been adjusted holding the steering wheel and I will fill in and sculplt with tamiya putty to blend in where I have cut the hands .
The figure will have a warrior head with headphones and the hatch on top will be open and it will allow to see in and pick up the detail inside .
After a brief search there wasn't much as to coloured interior photo's on the net that I could find so I winged it a bit.
I hope you like the images.
After checking heights and figure position of the top half . We can now proceed further to figure painting and glueing the top half down .
Here is the figure with the head and upper halves on .
And the layout.
I have been eagerly awaiting the Husser wheels.
Because our summers in Qld can get quite hot I was unsure that the rubber compound in the tires might split or crack on the rim hence I went down the track of getting the resin wheels .
This is the first time I've used this brand .I could not get over the amount of quality casting detail.Very nice .
Here is just a quick example of the tires on the armoured car.
I hope the image shows how sharp the tyres look .
Have got the driver and commander figure ready for the decals
I've done the first level of painting for the stowage with more work to be completed once its stuck to the vehicle.
And ,in the interim I have been test fitting the driver to see if he's positioning is going to be ok .
Small model but a lot of time to get it right
Cheers
Michael
