Place holder for my build. I'll do a proper start up photo when March rolls around.

My start up pic along side a British Hunt II class detroyer escort and a Fletcher class destroyer in the foreground (that I built probably 35 years ago) for size reference. It also comes with a full hull option but I will not be using that.

got to decide between 2
Do them BOTH!

Yes it would Pup. I have a couple of flower class corvettes in this scale to build that would look good alongside the liberty ship too. I just need to get the Sunderland to fly overhead.

I know where you can get some really nice 700 scale fishing boats for the fleet. :capsmiley:

Cool! I want to get some 1/700 scale Flower class corvettes too.
Mark they were included with the Aoshima HMS Exeter kit. One of a couple limited edition offerings of that kit. The kit number was 052723 if you can find it. I am hoping Aoshima will release them as stand alone kits because I will buy a couple dozen.

Centaur, they definitely were under appreciated

Some update pics

Is that an injection point in the middle of the deck? Weird!

The set up of the deck is a little different than normal as the solid railing sides are molded with the deck which then sits on top of the lower hull section. This leaves you with a seam and there are a couple spots at the bow and stern where they don't line up perfectly so some filler is in order.

While the deck and hull were drying I started on the super structure. Nothing is glued to the deck yet and won't be until the hull and deck are painted. I made that mistake on the last ship.

A few of the scuppers on the deck section had some raised detail which I have lost but there is no other hull detail to speak of.

Thanks for looking in.

A waterline Ship! I'm impressed! Lots of lil' bitty parts in that kit! It looks like she fits like a typical Trumpeter model.
Stick a P/E deck hatch over the sink mark and be a Happy Guy!
I still have an old 1/700 resin White Ensign Models Flower class Corvette in my collection.
She stands up well against newer issues of the Old Girl.

RHINO maybe we'll have to have a flower GB some day! Lol!;)
Thats some nice detail
It is very well detailed Dave. I'm wondering how close this is to the 1/350 scale kit and if it was simply a scale down of that kit.

Anyway progress has been slow as I decided to rip my deck apart and redo it this month. I have been very bored lately and this was my solution:smack:

I also noticed that the hull was sitting on the stern and bow and this created a rocking motion in the middle. It was enough that I decided I couldn't live with it so into some boiling water it went to straighten it out. I got it sitting good now but need to redo the deck seem putty. In the meantime I have continued working on with some of the sub assemblies. Here is were she is at the moment.
