Like i wrote it is just a test piece ,Steel rust real fast .
But it will be toned down and not as rough.

Primed with dark grey, and Basic rust colors applied.
Letting it dry for a day then some washes.

I leave it as it is ,
It will be weathered more and it will get a nice crust of barnacles .
I have read that they tend to live in shallow and tidal waters and start to appear within a week on boats,
so a nice thick crust it will be .

Maarten , once again fantastic work !!!

As far as rust goes within a week those bulkheads would have a fine patina of rust and be encrusted within a year .
It always amazed me how contractors would install metal outside light fixtures on rich folks homes being built right on the beach .
The contractors would always warn the homeowners that this was not a good idea and that plastic or pvc fixtures would be better .
The homeowners would be outraged because there would be no cheap plastic fixtures anywhere on their multi-million dollar home .
Within a year the fixtures would be rusted hulks dripping down the side of the house ruining the fixture the wiring and the siding .

How do people get to be multi-millionaires and have absolutely no common sense ?

Just some thoughts from someone living on the unforgiving Atlantic Ocean .

first layer of paint ,dark grey (streaks with the airbrush)
next will be a lighter grey until the desired shade of grey is achieved.

Got 5 liter can of Sigma white acrylic primer from my brother .....he has his own painting business so all non model paint is for free (y)

This is a excellent paint i just thin it with water ,
Mixed several shades of grey by adding vallejo black and some yellow ocher.
to get my concrete shades.
