Here is a way to make grab handles. I bought a sheet of evergreen 2037 - Freight Car Siding .020" HO which comes with grooves. I then glued the sheet to some backing for rigidity. The picture shows the result. It does work but, it would be easier if the grooves were a little deeper. I will make another much cleaner. This was a prototype. I didn't know if it would work.
