I've read about the blue hue coming out during the doping process. I'm giving the underside that blue color but I haven't really seen it replicated on the upper surfaces. I've stripped all the fuselage and tail feathers and reapplied the AlcadII black primer. Next up will be AlcladII White...

    Sherman in 1/16 scale.

I guess I would have taken a beating for telling folks I had to drive a f250 with no clutch for about a year. Starting in granny gear at a redlight with no clutch was a great learning experience.

Good stuff Saul, but am I understanding that our regular collared shank drill bits will not fit the multiple locations for drill bits on this thing?

Well this is the issue with painting sub assemblies and even parts before assembly. The join between the stabilizer and fuselage had a bit of a gap, Should have test fitted before painting. I had to shim it up which leads to the predictable fill sand and repeat. I had to sand off the paint job...

Well there was that little dust up in 1812 also... Happy 4th everyone. One of these historical ironies happened on July 4 1826. Both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died within hours of each other. On the 50th anniversary of signing of the Declaration of Independence. 200 years ago.

This is my take on the streaked olive finish on the clear doped linen out of the Fokker shop. Am I right, beats me but unless they come up with a 120+ year old who worked at the factory to tell us I'm full of it I"m going for it. I'll seal this maybe Sunday, give it time for the oils to cure...
