that'll happen. I like the patch work fiberglass fix on the side. Wonder if it's going in or out of the water.

    Revell '65 Mustang Fastback

Looks good Greg. It's a crying shame that Scale Hardware went dark. They had everything you need even threaded rod, nuts, bolts and washers down to .3mm.

    Wingnut Wing SE.5a

Had to go back to the Triplane thread to get my note on how to do this. I got the RB Products RAF wire brace but I'm not going to use it. It requires you using a caliper to measure and cut the wire then put it in place. That means the model has to be complete. I don't see that happening. I...

So they were a bit more than what Tamiya gave us. I got a PBR in the stash that I'd like to do again sometime.

    Andrea Miniatures is closing shop

I got some paints from them for face painting but not really into the figure painting. Sad to see them go. Reading through the comments, I don't know if the pirating would have been that big of a hit on them. I wonder how many of those units would have been sold at retail. Some folks would have...

    Wingnut Wing SE.5a

Waiting on some Gaspatch stuff to show up I decided to button up the engine. There's some oil lines I couldn't get installed but that's ok, you can't see them anyway. There's some flarings that go over the valve covers that need thinning before install. @paddy you wondered how the MRP...

What about those M60 gun mounts at the ballistic plates Saul. Did that mount support the grenade launcher also?

    Shooting the breeze

That is awesome Paddy, does the house still stand, can we street view it on maps? Our house was built in 1890 from timber cut down on the property. They just knocked off the bark and used the timber for the floor joist and rafters. I use to say that's old...that house has 300 years on ours and...

Using AI to design and test dio ideas and composition

You've done well to keep the AI slop out of this. You know like the images of airplanes with engines pointed 2 different directions.. :rotf

    Rivet for pivot

I've made some things moveable with scale hardware. But surely nothing as complicated as a complex hinged hood. https://www.modelmotorcars.com/scalehardware/ But sadly they don't seem to be active right now. I know I got an order not long ago, various screws sizes. But yes some washers to...

Lot of stuff Mark. That SS Clermont could be some excellent weathering subject.

    Shooting the breeze

There's a guy on youtube who describes different home building techniques, he builds scaled down stuff to demonstrate what he's talking about. Yeah, one fully built would be crazy awesome!

Using AI to design and test dio ideas and composition

So how do you get that started, just typing what you want or do you post a picture of a model and tell it to put it in a scene you describe?

Love it! One thing I didn't like about this kit was the mounts for the M60 and the grenade launcher, they didn't seam right at all but I don't recall if I even looked it up. The colors are outstanding! Water stains are outstanding, love the crumpled canopy!

    Wingnut Wing SE.5a

Well I'm kinda tickled that my home brew CDL of white and dark yellow is right in the middle of MRPs versions of CDL and bleached CDL. Seal coat will be put on this and then some washes, should blend it some.
