Seattle?

My wife has been referred to the Seattle cancer clinic for a specialized treatment not available in Canada. We may be down there for two months and I've only been down there for a couple weekend visits in the past. Anyone familiar with the area that can recommend resteraunts and nice quiet places to visit (and a LHS) would be appreciated. I think the clinic is close to downtown.
Not sure where we will be staying yet but probably close to the clinic. Don't know how much down time and energy we'll have but would be nice to have some options if we do. TIA

Sorry to hear this Dave . We can recommend Andaluka restaurant at the Mayflower park Hotel.

There are plenty of places with great seafood around the waterfront.

Can't help you with the Hobby shop .

Regards, Christian

Each day at noon I engage in prayer, it is a leansing time, I will hold you & your wife high this day!

have never been there, but I looked at the IPMS site and while Seattle is a big place, with a lot of towns in neighboring buroughs (something I think you are trying to avoid) one place that seemed interesting was this:
M & L Records and Models
6504 Ravenna Ave. N.E.
Seattle, WA, 98115
they even have a website
http://www.halcyon.com/mlrecmod/
and it appears that they have mdoels sealed and unsealed, plus old records, my kinda shop!

Hope this helps!

Best wishes for quick healing for your wife, Dave. My wife had a bout with breast cancer a few years back but all has gone well after a not too bad surgery for a small cancer, radiation treatments and some drug therapy.

Skyways Hobbies is a good bet.

Thanks guys for all your support! Really appreciate it! This has been ongoing for a couple of years now so we're really hoping for some good results from this treatment.

Hope you guys get the help you need. There are some pretty amazing clinics down there that I've had friends have to through some pretty amazing surgeries/treatments.

I'm only a couple hours away (Bellingham) if you guys need anything. I'll second Skyway Hobbies. Not always great "deals", but you can find a lot of out of production kits for reasonable prices. I was able to get my mits on a 1/48 Hasegawa F-4G for $40. You can spend a lot of time browsing through the shelves.

Galaxy Hobby (in Lynnwood, north of Seattle) stocks a lot of kits (all new) as well, and is one of my frequent stops when I'm in the area as I'm typically driving past when I go to Seattle.

Thanks Tim! :drinks

Rhino, always enjoy a good Monty clip. :D

Helios, looks like we'll be staying up closer to Lynwood for at least part of the time so maybe I'll get a chance to visit Galaxy hobbies. For now though we are at the university hospital. Too bad the Huskies just finished their last game. The stadium is right next door.
