So not sure if y'all know abut this guy, Ian McCollum, makes videos for youtube and others, creating a historical record of odd and rare firearms. In this one, her has gotten a hold of an ACTUAL FG-42 and besides giving it a brief history, he does some shooting with it - and with hi-speed slow-motion footage to boot!

Ian is a storehouse of knowledge. he has literally been all over the world, and releases one video daily on gun related subject matter, from flintlocks to the latest firearms, sporting to military. If you are wondering about some of the firearms you are using in models, check his other videos out too!

Oh, and for those of you with DEEP pockets, there is a link to the gun shown in the video. My belief is that it will sell at $200K USD

Interesting he mention how the brass was ejecting, I was noticing how uniform it was ejecting in the slow mo.

When you get it Bruce, let me know, wanna see you shoot it.

I could never afford that, not even the repro/copy!!!! I’ll just stick to my AR-15 & AR-10, Though the ‘-10 is admittedly quite heavy

SA Dave, the guy, Ian, recently returned from South Africa. He has had a great vid on the R4 series rifles, & a really unique 20mm shoulder fired weapon too
