RIP Haruo Nakajima
I'm in the middle of Atomic Dreams and the Nuclear Nightmare and I assure you, his words in interviews about the difficulties of the suit are beyond understated and modest. He repeatedly passed out and could only be in the suit for a minute or two at a time. Zero ventilation and hot lights, coupled with long, all night filming sessions took it's toll. He suffered burns and abrasions on nearly every take and had to perform it completely blind in an inflexible 200 lb suit.
