Mk. 81/82 "Snakeyes"

Well-known member
Do you-guys know of anyone that makes these with the find popped out? As long as I am making it tough, how about in 1/72 scale?

With the fins deployed? I haven't seen any but that doesn't mean anything. Plenty of them stowed doing a google search.

Why you want them deployed?

I don't know of any that are deployed. You will probably have to make them yourself as this person did with paper:

NorthStar Models makes Snakeyes with the tail separate so you have a starting point and a tail to take measurements from:

Eduard has a set as well:

Last, note that the Mk 15 tail had many variants so it depends on the year of the conflict depicted (yes, there will always be someone who knows if you fudge it! It won't be me, I promise.):

Mk 15 Mod 0
Mk 15 Mod 1
Mk 15 Mod 1A
Mk 15 Mod 2
Mk 15 Mod 2A
Mk 15 Mod 3
Mk 15 Mod 3A
Mk 15 Mod 4
Mk 15 Mod 4A
Mk 15 Mod 5
Mk 15 Mod 6

Regards,

You could take a mess of the fins and hack them up,sand it out and make each individual fin (not sure they were called fins but can't remember details 30+ years ago). If you careful you could probably get two deployed out of each set.

Thanks all! I was thinking I would end up having to make them, but that is what makes it fun, eh?
