TOPIC: Which Tracks ??

Which Tracks ?? 05 May 2019 10:51 #1

Now that MKs are getting hard to get and cost you your family jewels , I was wondering what you guys are using now? I have always been a big MK fan they look the best in my opinion a bit more detail tan Friuls I believe. I have been out of the Saddle last few years and want your Guys opinions on tracks now for detail , cost , and work? Hope to here many opinions. As I have many kits that need tracks. I do like Maggi tracks also but MK riules.

I'm really enjoying Masterclub tracks. Metal with resin pins. I have been using brass rod though lately. I'm in the process of painting my tracks for the BUK 1 and used Aber .5mm rod for them as the pins didnt fit as well as usual. The do take a bit of practice to make but are very very nicely cast.

I still use Fruil tracks when I cant find the ones I want in Masterclub. I have also gotten a set of AK Interactive tracks which I believe are R-Model tracks. They look okay and have the wire like Fruil. Will know better how they are when I start building them.

PS look at BNA, they have a few MK tracks. www.bnamodelworld.com/

Yes Model KASTEN , just like the ones Johnn has on his Pz I. I love them I believe they have the most detail out of all tracks Many of my friends use Friuls use them on theWheels for the runs and MKs as spares on the tank because they have better detail than the Friuls. Sometimes I use Magic tracks on IIIs I have a damaged newer Pz III hull with the wheels except the Drive sprocket and I build the Magic’s on this then when dry they are easy to transfer to the new build.

I still like fruils, usually MK for spares, but I am building the Pz 1 from what I have in the stash, so MK it is. I like the Bronco plastic tracks, but the line is too limited.

"In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security.
They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all - security,
comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again."
