Hello everyone

So here is the next Project. I am building 2 Messerschmitt Bf.109G of the Italian air force, namely a G-6 of the Regia Aeronautica (before the armistice on 08.Sept.1943) and a G-10 of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana, the air force of the northern Italian Puppet-State from 1943 to 1945 (the Repubblica Socialista Italiana, under Mussolini and German occupation).

The G-6 is an 1/72 Italeri with PE from Eduard
The G-10 is an 1/72 Revell OOB

Both with Decals from Sky Models

Thanks for looking and as always your comments are GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers

Alex

Here is the beginning of the G-6

This is the second 109 (Revell G-10).

Not very exciting since it will be OOB. But still good practice.

Thanks guys much appreciated.

I am getting addicted to PE in 1/72. I love working with those tiny little pieces. To the point that models without PE are less fun.

More progress tomorrow hopefully.

Cheers

Alex

Luiz, muito obrigado. Eu nem sei se eu tenho um estilo de modelismo, estou tão longe de produzir uma coisa realmente boa como tantos que se vê aqui. Mas continuo tentando! Grande abraço

Soooo....

A bit of Progress. I am sorry the Pictures are not very sharp, somehow my mobile camera has been acting up.

That PE from Eduard was a Pain in the Ass to get in place! Again everything Looks rather "Gluey" and irregular. Frustrating. :bang head :bang head :bang head

Interior assembled, painted and weathered.

This is the G-6

Hi There friends,

Little update. I am not sure why everything gets so "lumpy"... I try to dilute it as much as I can, it Looks fine but when I take the Pictures.. oh the Horror. Maybe I am applying too much future before the decals? I don't know :idonno . Frustrating. :bang head :bang head

That's a tough paint job to pull off Alex.
Bless you for the work you do, I have a very deep appreciation for you folks who fix us up. :zen

Wow, what a great modeling place ( Kidding of course :rotf ) Thankful for those of you that can do what seems impossible to the rest of us (y)

The only thing that comes to mind about your paint issues might have to do with the amount of time you allow for each layer to cure properly :idonno

I know I have less problems when I allow myself enough time for full cures between coats.

Hey everyone!

Sorry I have been absent from the Forum. Last Weekend I caught some bug from a Patient and had to spend a few days in bed..

This are the "'Schmitts" with the decals on. I am hoping to finish them up today. Looking a bit better, still too thick, maybe the weathering will help!

Cheers

Alex
