Got a tip published in Fine Scale Modeler

Back in early January, on a whim I emailed Fine Scale Modeler w/ a tip I had for painting figures, using prescription pill bottles b/c they work great for holding the figures, and if they are small enough, you can store them inside the bottles to protect them.

Well, my April issue showed up today, and I was flipping through it, and low & behold, there was my tip w/ the picture I sent in, I couldnt believe it. It is the "feature tip" right in the middle of the page w/ the largest image.

I cant get my stupid scanner to work, so here's a picture I took of it.

I really wasnt expecting it to be printed, and definitely not as the largest image in the section, so this is really cool.

Used to get a complimentary copy and a $25 check...if they still ask for your SS # you should be getting a check....

Yea, it states in the magazine that they pay for tips, and I was thinking it was $25.00. I emailed the guy in charge of the tips section of the magazine, asking what I need to do to get paid for it. I was expecting to be paid prior to it being published, so that's why it was such a huge surprise to see it published b/c I hadn't ever heard anything beyond that they and received my email w/ the tip & pictures.
