    Sherman in 1/16 scale.

I chased the press fit link on the P III..., so I know...haha. This one is easy to see and I'm leaving the bent hook thats easy to grab onto till the very end!

    Sherman in 1/16 scale.

I'm in the dreaded track building phase. The IPad is streaming Reed Timmer and his storm chasing crew, TEAM DOMINATOR. They've successfully road out a direct hits from EF 1, 2 and 3 tornado's in Dominator 3, a custom built armored tornado/hurricane chase vehicle. Anyway, the tracks for this...

I've been nipping track link parts of the sprues all afternoon 😆

Adding cast texture to the glacis plate. The turret will get the same treatment.

    Sherman in 1/16 scale.

One hundred and eighty six parts later the bogies are built... with beat up tires, Bob 😉 It was a boring task...that rivaled clove hitching the ratlines on my USS Constitution build. Wouldn't have been so bad if every part didn't have a casting seam to sand out. Me isn't looking forward to the...

They'll barely get dirty before Germany calls it quits.

    Sherman in 1/16 scale.

Thanks Saul! The full length single one (top pic) is what I was leaning towards based on what I found in reading. I'll have to stick with the kit's T-80's as printed tracks sounds quite expensive.

They have movement on the center pins. Making them fully function like the real ones is doable, with real springs and working horizontal shocks.

    1/16th scale sFH 18 Howitzer

I feel ya. My wife tells me to calm down it's just a toy...🤨🤐

Which exhaust deflector? I'm representing late WWII. Kit supplies both types. It has the smaller single engine door and the T-80 style tracks if that would have anything to do with it?

Sanding out seam lines take a lot of time.

I want to add the field mounted 30 cal gun to the turret. 1/16 scale Aftermarket stuff can get pricey. I'm happy with this printed one from Battleground Models for 9 dollars as it only needs a bit of tweaking. They were all over getting it shipped too!

One down. It works pretty nice. Pic #2 is of the 31 parts needed to build it. Glad there's only six 😆

Rommels is what I was looking at.

Me too. I'll probably do a 250 after this build...haha.

I almost went for the 250. Decided on the Sherman to balance out German armor on my display shelf.

    Sherman in 1/16 scale.

First day on the build. Typical vague Takom instructions, but after 4 of their kits I'm getting used their ways. The moldings are nicely detailed. However you don't just glue up parts on these big kits without dry fitting first as they usually need tweaking. Careful and slow is the name of the...

    Mark IV "Tadpole" display.

I have a couple of more Gary. Since Tadpole never really made it past the test phase it's unlikely the machine guns would have been added. I had the aber brass aftermarket one's and just couldn't help myself so I put them on anyway 🙃
