Nighfighters Italian Style - Biplanes - COMPLETED

Thanks a lot dear friends (yes I mean also you dave... :)) Unfortunately I have not yet received the PE for the CR.32 and I think it does make a huge difference in the model, so I will be waiting for that. In the meantime here is some progress on the little Falco. Assembly and Painting are...

Italian Regia Aeronautica in Russia 1942

@helios: you are so right Chris. Even with the magnifying glasses I don't see as much smudging and imperfections as with the camera. I completely agree with you - I am certainly here to learn from all of you, and I am very thankful for that. Besides, it can only get better right? Cheers Alex

@Duke Maddog: Mark, it is amazing how you always have a conforting word, an incentive, a good advice and a positive thing to say. I want you to know that I really appreciate it. Thanks!

Thanks guys. I know it looks very dirty with all the resin and glue and plastic and primer... I promise it will look nicer in the future, or I will die trying. Cheers Alex

Italian Regia Aeronautica in Russia 1942

Thanks a lot. I appreciate your comments a lot. It is a classic cliche of making a lemonade of the lemons. I am always trying new things with the brushes and who knows, someday it might look similar to the airbrush after all. There has been some small progress on the Mc.202 with assembly and...

That is very nice! I love the detailing. I actually live only 15km away from the site of the Me 262 first flight (Laupheim AB in Bavaria). I wish they had kept one as a memorial there.. Cheers Alex

Nighfighters Italian Style - Biplanes - COMPLETED

Thanks guys, appreciated. I really like building these little buggers. they are such an anachronism, first flight in the same year of the P-38 and FW 190! Still, they performed as well as they could given the circumstances and were absolutely excellent for aerobatics. This is a little...

    1/72 Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero - Vigna di Valle II - COMPLETED!

@Heavens Eagle: That is some model Paul! must be gigantic. You would have the opportunity to work it down to the wires... I am sure you would make an amazing Sparviero. I am Italian albeit born and raised in Brazil (from one side); from my father's side I am 1/2 German, 1/4 Portuguese and 1/4...

The kit that scares me - 1/48 GWH Sukhoi 35S - Russian Knights

I think 1/72 SU-27 and SU-35 kits are WAY to big. I wouldn't dare touching this monster. That being said, what a nice work. And what a gorgeous picture in the beginning. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Alex

    1/72 Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero - Vigna di Valle II - COMPLETED!

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I am actually very proud of this one. I reckon it is one of my best ones (which is not much but still), and the painting was a challenge on itself. I will keep experimenting with these crazy Italian camos, my goal is to eventually reach an "airbrush-like" finish...

Italian Regia Aeronautica in Russia 1942

Thanks a lot guys! @paddy Bob has said it - airbrushes are deadly for me. With paint brushing I can handle the fumes by using only acrylic, water-based solvents. Resin work only "under water" also, so it is complicated. I would love to be able to use an airbrush... @Heavens Eagle: Paul, i can...
