1/72 Tamiya F4U-1D Soccer War Corsair

Hola Saul, what an interesting project. I still think we should have an Latin American Campaign of sorts. I am all for the second Corsair in your original post. That should be a beatiful model when completed. Mucha suerte con tu proyecto! Cheers Alex

    Me1101 Nachtjager

Quite right Rich. As far as I know, the soviets also based their wings on the Mig-15 after these studies from late War German jets, just not variable sweep-wings (until the MiG 23). Cheers Alex

    OMG It's got a sharkmouth 1/72 Tamiya P-51D!

Good luck John. As I mentioned in Dave's thread there are some neat "uniques" schemed for the F-51s, I really like the Latin American variants. Cheers Alex

    Maddog Manufacturing Open in 2021

Happy belated birthday Mark! I am happy you had a good time. Certainly you have made a lot of progress in you models. Are you really going for an An-225 kit? Probably 1/32 I guess... Good luck with your other biggies. I guess I could do an An-124 too. If it were 1:700! Cheers Alex

    Savoia-Marchetti Sm.81 Pippistrello in 1/72

You are absolutely right. That is what has always fascinated me in Italian WWII planes. Such unique designs. What a shame they did not work properly (undermotorized, undergunned, small payloads) but still my favorites. Thanks for looking.

    1/72 Fiat CR.42 Falco - Vigna di Valle I - COMPLETED

Italeri kits are much better than Revell IMO. This is a new re-issue of a kit from the early 2000's which was a new mold. Very sharp and pleasant to assemble. I am a big fan of Italeri (national pride, I am an Italian citizen), and have many of them assembled/on stash. I would recommend!

    Macchi Mc.200 and Mc.202 dioramas in 1/72

Thanks a lot. Indeed it looked hump-backed but astoundingly the Saetta (Mc.200) had an amazing aerodynamic performance. Mario Castoldi (the Ingenieur) was a genius in that sense, the only problem was the shitty engine with only 850 Hp. He basically kept the same plane (200) and changed the...

    Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 AS Sparviero in 1/72

Thanks a lot again! I am sorry I haven't replied sooner, as I said not easy. Thanks so much for remembering my birthday @Heavens Eagle! 2021 has been even more difficult than 2020, but at lease I am fully immunized now so I am hoping that I can continue working without so many risks. Thankfully...

    Macchi Mc.200 and Mc.202 dioramas in 1/72

Thanks Saul. These were part of another diorama a long time ago so that is why I did not mention. This is an ABM-42, an Italeri Kit from the 90's in 1/72. Figures are either CMK from the CZ Republic (www.cmkkits.com) or XO figures from the German train modelling company Märklin...

    Maddog Manufacturing Open in 2021

Goodness gracious Mark that is one hell of a factory. You must own a house just for your models. If I ever attempted to buy and assemble that An-124 I would be looking at a very expensive divorce. Good luck I will keep watching. Cheers Alex
