You're doing the PE process right. So, I'm not sure why it's not working. I use the Hobby Lobby brand of thick CA. I'll get a new bottle for photoetch. I want it fresh. Touching just a needle tip to the railing stanchions. Usually the glue will grab in a few seconds.

Ours is a John Deere X590. With 3+ acres to mow I've racked up the hours on it, around 350 and it's only 5 yrs old.

I'm subbing, and going as slow as I can...haha. It's a cute little engine. The real one had about thirty some horsepower. I think it would fit in our lawnmower.

After another test fit, I think it's time to get some paint on the engine and transmission.

Looking very nice Greg! Golden acrylics is really top shelf paint.

Back to detailing the engine. Making the four prime cups. They had to prime the cylinders with fuel before start up.

Ok, here we go. First of all, this kit is a challenge. The parts are provided for sure, but there is some slop when it comes to lining them up with each other so that everything fits correctly. Especially with the transmission to the deck, get it off and it'll throw everything out of whack. I...

A characteristic of Takom molding as well. I would think in 1/16 scale, as my Renualt FT is, those sprue to part areas could get smaller and better, but they're just bigger...

I have a dumb question. Why were they using wood for the decks at this point anyway?

Looking great Gary. I'm coming in late to this build, but watching now. Definitely the smaller chain for the anchor. When the Missouri wore her painted deck was during WWII. I don't know all of the Measure camouflage paint schemes she had, but regardless, when the deck was painted it was 20B...

I needed a break from things with propellers and sails...haha.

I did them with a Pigma Micron 03 pen on this 1/35 scale Minerva. On the Renualt I haven't determined whether the particular tank I'm modeling had them. Some didn't. If I do them at 1/16 scale I will probably brush paint them.

That tank is from the 4th Company 2nd platoon. Since Penny said I had to put the heart on mine, and it has the Girod turret, that this kit comes with, the qoute- "square jaw buster's" tank is the one I'm doing.

Next project. Takom's 1/16 scale Renualt FT. This was Takom's first ever release. When I opened the box I was glad to see that mine is the later molding, done in grey plastic. The original was done in a maroon, not a big deal, just kinda weird. The box art shows it in the French service with...
