    Good luck Bob Letterman

Hey, you may have to get an overhead crane to work on those dioramas. Take it easy, Bob and glad to hear you are doing better.

    A BIG KItty

I decided to get back on this build. The pit is done and the fuse is closed up. There is a fit problem when closing up the fuse in that the aft pit bulkhead is a tad over size and if you don't trim it down you will wind up with an appreciable gap in the fuse halves. I did do a little light wash...

    It was bound to happen.

Well I just got off the phone with my medicare sup company and they want 300 per eye. Which I think really isn't all that bad but when you don't have the funds it is a major hurdle. So in hind sight I need to get on the ball and rattle the VA to get this done.

    It was bound to happen.

The years just seem to go by real quickly now since I came into my mid sixties. Ive been having difficulties with health related things from high blood pressure to a triple CABG about 14 years ago. Diabetes, obesity and a myriad of other conditions that I just chalk up to getting older and a...

    A BIG KItty

I've been busy today with one half of the pit. Got the left console done and decals placed. then put the pit in. Next is the ip and the right side of things. Just for reference here is a 32 scale R2800 from a P-47 next to the R-2899 of the kitty.

    A BIG KItty

I thought it would be time to start the Airfix 24 scale F6F-5. So far I think it is a fairly decent kit and I have searched out reviews on it before I bought it. I started the pit today and I am pretty much in the paint phase and throwing some washes on it. I am making this a three or four month...

    Bismarck - Doing the Sea

For we sailors about I can say that the bow wave is looking quite authentic. There are some things that changes it shape. Of course the speed at which the ship is traveling, the depth at which the ship is and the sea state. I have been in the North Atlantic in September and I can attest it is...

    1/96 scale USS Constitution build.

I went to Boston for fleet week around '88 or so. Got a chance to board her and was totally impressed. In order to be assigned to her you have to be in excellent health, a certain height and must have at least 3.8 on your evals for the previous year. To me it would be the second greatest honor...
