    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

I'm sure by now the enamel is all off the ones I used to have, Paddy. Mine maybe ran cooler than others because I frequently set the mixture. I was careful about that because several times when I was at the British Motors dealer there was a hapless individual holding up a piston with a hole in...

I have built one of these in the bomber resupply set and have two more. Wish I could find the same in 1/48.

    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

I always wondered how Jaguar thought the enameled finish on the exhaust manifolds was supposed to last. But at 100,000 miles most of it was still on them on mine. Lots of differences here, from my 65 E-Type. I remember the throttle linkage being under the manifold, and the water manifold was different. This photo looks like what I remember. The fuel lines were attached to the float chambers with banjo fittings, and if you need it I still have a key for...

    Monogram P-61A-11

I finished this one yesterday. I've read a lot of harsh words about the kit but my experience was not so bad. I did reprofile the top of the fuselage from the turret forward as it should have a increasing radius of curvature from square at the turret to rounded at the gunner's canopy. All the...

Perhaps the constant opening and closing of the molds and the movement of the ejector pins causes wear. The wear from the plastic may not be much but it probably is a factor in a mold that has been used as much as these.
