Saul, normally I use Duplicolor primer. Also, the scratches were where it rubbed up against other parts.

Up next on the work bench is the USS John Hancock. Why the John Hancock? Because of this... Just starting on it. It is a very old Arii kit that was was in a box of very old kits. It will be a fun kit to do. She'll be waterline and underway when I finish her.

I'm calling this one done for now before it drives me crazy. 1/35 Thunder Models USAAF Case tractor with scratch built canopy. Green paint kept chipping on it while I worked on it today. I'll let the paint cure for a week and then get the decals on it and do some weathering.

Got some time today at the bench. Off of work for Mardi Gras holiday. I found a green that looks perfect, Vallejo US Dark Green. Repainted the tractor, hood and rims.

I can't believe I found this in my shop! It's a 1/25 jon boat, or aluminum boat, camouflaged for duck hunting in the marsh. I got plans to build a real one an scaled them down to 1/25. The camouflage is airbrushed using some of the hardest to make and weed paint masks that I ever made. I...

Disney+ has a documentary called Becoming Cousteau. It is very good. YouTube has several of his original specials for streaming. As a child, I love watch his specials and Marlin Perkins Wild Kingdom.

I was able to get some bench time today. I sprayed the US olive drab and it’s too dark for me. I found a good match for the color on the box art, which I like. The olive drab just hides too much of the details.
