    Mighty Mo, BB-63 Finished

I got a few decals put on. Still not good at that yet... I also have the propellers on, along with a decal or two. I did the props last week. Here is the tower so far So, when I was putting some decals on I had to turn the model a little on its side. The high angle gun turrets fell right...

Ok, I have a few more pieces done to add. I feel like I see light at the end of the tunnel. I gave gloss where the decals go. I am anxious to start on the anchor chains I added a winch and cable to the highline tower. This dang antennna thing may be the most difficult thing I have ever made...

Bandai Sand Land Anime' Royal Army Tank

If you don’t have oil paints, first of all, shame on you LOL. Most art supply stores carry a super cheap set of Reeves or similar brand. Ten colors for ten bucks kind of thing. No need to use expensive Williamsburg paints on a model.

Get your oil paints out. Black, raw umber, & white. (Or burnt umber, raw sienna, burnt sienna, or any “earth” colors you like) Have mineral spirits at the ready in two cups; one for thinning that stays clean and one for cleaning the brush. Put a coat of clean spirits on a small area and let it...

    MacRobertson Air Race Line up

Wow, that would be an “Oh S#/T!” moment for sure. Had to be a goof up at the factory. Somebodies head should roll! Maybe test newly opened bottles from now on? I sure am!

    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

I’ve been lurking and watching, wishing I had something to add. You mentioned a modeler better than you and I really can’t imagine such a thing exists. Honesty, if it stymies you then it can’t be built. The engine and dash are works of art. I gasped just looking at the dang steering wheel LOL.

    Mighty Mo, BB-63 Finished

Thanks Chris! Noing nothing that is how I was going to do them, attached and secured. I have finished the little boats I think. I really like the 40' personnel boat. The utility boat turned out OK... And the teeny whale boats are also OK. Not much you can do to make gray look good. The...

    Mighty Mo, BB-63 Finished

Hey guys, I have a question I cannot find an answer to. In the photo of a boat being lowered I have circled in red a section of ropes with knots tied at intervals. Are those roped left attached at the top and secured at the bottom when not in use, or are the taken down and put up as needed?

    Mighty Mo, BB-63 Finished

Thanks! The pictures show a wheel on a little pedestal thimg sort of like I tried to make. The little boats have a tiller. On a similar subject, @Rhino , what is this called so I can find reference photos?

    Mighty Mo, BB-63 Finished

I realized it did not have a steering wheel. I cannot tell what the rudder looks like but I bet it has one.

    Mighty Mo, BB-63 Finished

I tricked out a couple of little boats. Figuring out the wording to find a reference for the launch boat took some time! It kept wanting to show me Navy ships being launched! I made the parts for the launch boat from scratch and the cutters parts are AM PE. I made a teeny propeller and you can...

G and I discussed it said that very thing. I can add them at the end if necessary. I did find a striking set of four on eBay for $22 so if all else fails that is my fall back plan.

    Twins

Looking forward to it. Just gotta decide on what to build. Hey, the USS Missouri has two smoke stacks. Does that mean it has two engines? 🤔
