Hello
Some tips on how to make paint look old and pealing.
------------------------------------
Ok, here is a step by step using Bare Metal foil (stuff used by the guys building civilian cars to simulate i.e cromed parts)
The Bare Metal foil I found was in gold color. I have primed the car with a blue color to let some of this color come trough after the car has been overpainted with a lighter color.
The foil is very thin and fragile, I rubbed it in place using a soft color shaper
ready..
the peeling is done, I had to carefully sand the edges to smoot them out.
Since the foil was gold color I decided to prime it with Games Workshop Chaos black. Some of the edges between the foil and roof was still visible, this was overpainted using Mr Surfacer and micro baloons.
Rust colors is painted on using a sponge
Brushed on water and sprinkled on the salt
base color, a miwx of Tamiya light blue and light grey
after dry the salt is removed under running water
the final weathering using Mig oil and washes
Good luck!
