New tool A6M2 Zero from Eduard

I think its a shame when manufacturers produce a Gem then take it out of production. Airfix had a reputation for producing toy model airplanes but over the years grew up to produce their superb 1/48 EE lightning F1-F6 and their excellent Lynx helicopter also 1/48 . Now these things are worth a huge premium on the Web and no longer produced but still Airfix bang on with some 1960 and 70s questionable models.
Much better to introduce the uprated range and phase out the old but they seem to do very short runs or great new models and plug on for 50 years with others.

That is a lot of companies which do that. I expect them to return with new markings. The old nostalgic toys are sold for far less than the new tooled subjects.

Regards,
