Meng Jeep with blackdog SAS set

I really like that one of the wheels is a different style tire. Saw that in some photos of SAS jeeps but i'm not sure where that wheel came out of, I've dug into a lot of different resin sets for this.

I want to paint one of the cans Panzer grey or even, dare I say, German grey...

Might throw in a water can or two?

Nice work Pup .
I believe those parts [ earlier in the thread ] that you needed identified were a sun compass and a 30cal side mount .
My research shows that mounting a 50 cal on a jeep was one of the worst ideas ever . Vets claim it tore the jeep up bad , and you couldn't hit a barn let alone a barn door with a 50 mounted on a jeep . Yet they did it anyway .

Almost forgot , ET Models makes an excellent pe set . Not pricey either .
It has the spare tire frame that you could mount another tire on the jeep passenger rear side .

Thanks Glenn, This was just a quick little build to have some fun after suffering with the Eindecker failure.

I wish I had more of those Meng weapons. They are far and above the academy stuff as you can see here.

Which Academy stuff are you referring to? The older or newer (where they try to do the hollow vent area)? Also, if a movie Jeep it is fine but I haven't seen a WWII photo with the flash hider.

Regards,

Looks great!! Are you going to add the dudes?? I think that most of the "Jerry cans" were of German origin. Gary S. XLV MMXX

Looks great, loads of detail. Not sure i would really want to go into battle with 15 x 5 gal of petrol strapped to the outside but i suppose when you are a hero you dont worry about things like that
