Side Project: Polikarpov I-16 Type 24 in 1/72

Hello dear friends,

whilst finishing the La-5 I did a small "side Project" in the form of a Polikarpov I-16 from Hasegawa in 1/72, all OOB. I wanted to test the winter camo for some future Projects and also the weathering, to see if I am getting closer to what I aim.

Actually, it turned out rather good, so much so that I decided to share some pics with you.

This is the I-16 "red 21" in the winter of 1942, serving with the 4. GvIAP and flown by the hero of the Soviet Union Lt. Gennadyi Tsokolaev.

Critiques/comments are always welcome.

Cheers

Alex

Apparently nobody liked it... :tomato :tomato :tomato

Don't be so quick to judge! :smack

I think it's excellent. These types of schemes lend well to your brush skills. I still think you'd do a great job on a WW1 fokker.

Outstanding display Dr. Alex :dude :v :notworthy

Gee , it's been up for a day :pinch: Not like we' ve had much time to comment :idonno

Looks pretty good to me :good: Vallejo paint ?
