To end all wars sponsor

Bagge

Well-known member
I have decided to sponsor this campaign with some small prizes, depending on if it's a plane or tank that wins i will send the winnar a badge from either the RFC Royal Flying Corps, or from the Tank Corps.
These are replicas from Military heritage www.militaryfigures.co.uk

Picked these up in Passendale this weekend after a ww1 roadtrip, passendale, hill 60 and finally Ypres
I hope this will give those of you that's building a boost :)

Greetings Mats

Ok I just saw that the end date was changed... not sure how to do with the sponsoring because in 3 years I probably don't know where they are anymore :frantic

Any ideas how we solve it?

Greetings Mats

It's ok, i think it's a good idea to extend it :good: (then maybe I can finnish a build here to :) )

I thought about it and I will do like this:

Before midnight 22nd April Anyone who is in the campaign and would like to be in the drawing can post a pic of the completed build IN THIS THREAD, also include a link to the completion thread.

Why 22nd April you ask...

...22nd April 1915, The 2nd Battle of Ypres begins. First German gas cloud attack on the Western Front. The Second Battle of Ypres consisted of four battles starting with the surprise gas attack by the Germans in the Battle of Gravenstafel Ridge. The following three battles were counter-attacks by the allied troops to try to regain the ground lost to the Germans. The three battles were: The Battle of St.Julien, The Battle of Frezenburg Ridge 8th May and The Battle of Bellewarde Ridge 24th May.

So Get your sharp blades ready and finnish a model! :drinks

Greetings Mats

My build is a small dio with a tank, not sure if it matches the criteria, you be the judge of it.

On a side note .. there is a great movie, "Beneath Hill 60" about Australian soldiers digging tunnels and placing a huge amount of explosives and so on. Worth watching, I loved it.

Cheers,

Laurence

Wow a lot of nice models showing up!

Laurence, I have seen that film to and I agree, also visited Ypres last summer and saw the effect from those explosions!

Everything that is completed in this campaign is good for this prize to airplane figures or tanks and dioramas, bring them on! :soldier

Thanks for thinking about us Mats! That is very generous of you. Unfortunately I probably won't get anything done for it, even though I have dug out some of the old dragon 1/48 aircraft kits I have out. I have wayyyyyyyyy too much stuff I need to get posted before doing any more building.

Ok I'm thinking of having another drawing towards the end of the campaign to (if I can remember it so long) so you have your chance still :)

Ok as I see it we have 4 qualified entries for this drawing (you others must make sure you have them ready for the next drawing in the end of the campaign!)

Moon Puppy

Jeeves

Ausf

White wolf

I will make a decision this evening and post tomorrow the winner of this first drawing! :drinks
