That's very cool.

There could be a whole line of that type of stuff. I used a PE T-34 grill and some tape to spray splinter patterns on a Waffen SS smock in 1/16.

For splatters I generally load up a bit of window screen with dry pigments in binder and hold the AB behind it to spray a random pattern. This piece will allow more control.
 
I think they have a couple of wood grain stencils like this. I like they try most anything. I got a folder/bender thing from them, couldn't make heads or tails out of it but the PE they did for the P51 was outstanding.
 
I have the wood grain stencils and used the smaller scale ones on my Albatros. They do work well. I had to butcher one up in order to get the wood grain where I wanted it in some areas.

There are 3 patterns for the wood grain. Each comes in 2 sizes.
