Gassers! Boiling Springs, NC 2017

Iron Mike

Master At Arms And Resident Curmudgeon
So I'm working away Friday morning, when the guy from the local Shopper paper we advertise in brings the latest edition. I always find our ad, proof read it (again)and see what else is going on. WELL! Guess what? There is The Final Battle At Shadyside, the last event of the year for the Southeast Gassers, right here at home sweet home! I knew I was going, called Chris up to see if he was in and charged up the batteries!

The weather wasn't great starting out, a light drizzle was falling when I picked Chris up, but stopped by the time we got in. Overcast, but mild temps made for a nice day. Here's what we saw...

Walking through the pits to the track.

Thanks for posting Mike . Some very nice cars and a lot of very expensive toys there .

Bob , you might be right about the Nash . Just seeing it was well worth the trip for me. Beautiful car . Hard to believe the engine is all factory original and can still cruise the highway at 80 MPH without any problems.

Skarelane and Flower Power were really interesting to watch . You would think something more exotic would have stolen the show . Well the VW was cool too, but there was no one there to compete in his class .

Never did figure out who stole the engine from the 2 CV... (y)

Cheers, Christian B)
