Traditional New Years Day Feast

In my household we always have the traditional redneck meal on New Years Day. This meal ensures Health,Wealth and Wisdom for the coming year.

Boiled Cabbage= Health
Black Eyed Peas= Wealth
Pork= Wisdom. You do know that hogs are smarter than dogs right.
and Corn Bread for no other reason than to sop up the juice from the peas and cabbage.

We're all set now so bring it on 2010 :woohoo:

My wife made a traditional Mushroom borscht while my mother brought over some of my aunt's famous (at least in Puerto Rico) pasteles.

Good times!
