The newest addition to AMT's 1969 Mercury Cougar crawled on to the bench. In the process of tearing it up.

Here is what's on my bench right now, homemade bunker, made from plaster and cast resine parts.
Have made moulds for all the parts so i can make more if i want :)

Busy now the the terrain around the bunker, it will have a modified E-75/king tiger turret with a 88mm L/100.
A "what if" bunker but the door and other details are from the regelbau system the germans used for their bunkers.
Greetings
Mats

Here it is at the end of the year and I've been trying to finish a few more models in 2017. Here is the progress I made on the last few models I worked on for this year.

First off, I added the tracks to the Japanese Type 89 early tank:

Here they are completed on the other side:

While I was working on Japanese tanks, I applied the second camouflage color to the Type 89 Late and then covered that color (once dry) with more Silly Putty. Then I shot the third color:

Later on I removed all the Silly Putty. This pattern came out better than I expected:

Moving on from that, I started to work on the body of the Ludwig Areo bus. I re-shot the cream color:

After applying the glosscoat, I tried to pinstripe this and failed pretty spectacularly:

Well, that seems to be the best I can do so it's staying that way. After that dried, I applied a wash to the grill to bring that out better:

Before that, as you can see above, I had painted the underside to get this ready for finishing:

As that was drying, I added the windows to the body and painted the luggage rack area:

And that completes my final progress for this year. Later on, I'll post those finished models I did complete, as well as my Year in Review. Stay tuned....

Thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.

I emptied the bench and cleaned the shop prepping for the Moebius Discovery that is sitting in UPS purgatory about 10 miles away. It might as well be the moon, since it'll sit there until Tuesday now... :vmad

I did get a package of water miscible oils/brushes to mess around with figure shading, so without styrene at hand I grabbed a canvas board and started playing. It's probably been 30 years since I touched oils with a brush and I forgot how hard they are to control, but I am having fun:

Great face Ausf! Brilliant work!

I can't wait to see you start that Discovery. I've seen the buildup of that model at Comicon and it is gonna be a thrill to follow!
